FAQ
Care & Use
The frequency of cleaning is dependent upon use which varies by household. The recommended cleaning interval is every 2-3 months. If you cook a lot or cook with high amount of oil, you will need to clean them more often. Dripping grease signifies that the filters and filter track need to be clean more often.
To clean the filters, please remove them by holding the filter knobs and sliding the filters towards the front of the unit. This will allow the back to drop down. The filters can be cleaned in a dishwasher. For dishwasher cleaning, place the filters vertically on the bottom rack with the holes on the top and bottom to allow water and detergent to enter the top inlet holes and wash the grease out the exit holes.
WARNING: Do not use any cleaners with harsh chemicals such as bleach. This may corrode the stainless steel.
The commercial style baffle filters are designed in such a way that when the unit is exhausting, grease is trapped in the edges of the baffles.
